Many musicians retain very close ties with Japan, its culture and people. We all have friends there. Words cannot express the distress and concern we all feel for the crisis happening. Now everyone wants to help and all have been incredibly generous. All three events were organized in a single day.
We are all overwhelmed by the tragic devastation that has been happening in Japan and want to do what we can to help. These 5 benefit concerts came about because of people's selfless generosity and open hearts—because of the power of friendship and love. Events of this kind do more than raise money, they bring people together and help us to heal. Please join us.

- le 27 mars au théâtre Miller de l'Université Columbia, avec Sonic Youth, Sean Lennon, Yoko Ono, Mike Patton, Cibo Matto, Mephista, Uri Caine, Marc Ribot, John Zorn's Aleph.
- le 8 avril au Abrons Arts Center de New York :
- le 9 avril à la Japan Society avec Philip Glass & Hal Willner; Lou Reed, Laurie Anderson and Zorn; Ryuichi Sakamoto; and Bill Laswell et Gigi band.
